Hereworth 4WD Safari

Event date:
Saturday, 23 March, 2019 - 08:00 to Sunday, 24 March, 2019 - 17:00

This is the Bi-annual 4WD Safari as a Fund Raiser for the Hereworth School.

These are a great fun event - travelling over stations at the base of the Ruahine Ranges - or coastal ranges around Omakere / Elsthorpe area.

Typically these are a 'Clover Leaf' event, so caravans / campers / tents can be set up in one place and we use that as a base.

Last one I did was back in 2013 during horrific draught conditions. It was a real eye opener to see the Stations that we travelled thru just burnt off - not a blade of grass any where.

All vehicles must have a current Warrant of Fitness and a minimum of good condition all terrain or better; have proper tow hooks front and rear (rated for snatch towing) or a tow bar with the tow ball removed (all tow balls must be removed); must carry proper snatch strap, spade or shovel, fire extinguisher and first aid kit. Safety belts are to be worn at all times.

Pricing $475 for 1 vehicle (covers 2 persons per vehicle) $180 for every additional adult in the vehicle $80 for a child 12 years and under (maximum of 4 passengers per vehicle).
