Te Rau Puriri Planting Day May 2015

Te Rau Puriri - Planting Sunday 17 May 2015 - a good turnout from the Auckland region's 4WD clubs including our own, and local volunteers to help Auckland Council keep up the good work being done in this park. Down in the valleys we had the pleasure of seeing the great results from our previous efforts.

And after our labours (about 1200 plants planted, I recall) the Rangers provided their usual excellent BBQ lunch smiley

The next day we got this in from the Park Ranger:

Thank you once again for your respective clubs contribution to planting at Te Rau Puriri.
Great to see both young and older generations getting involved and having a day out.
I was also impressed by the speed at which plants went in the ground and the quality of the planting.
Maybe more plants next year..what do you think?
Regards

Given some our previous efforts over the years, I've said we could probably double that!
