Track info

20 kms of New Zealand's finest track.

Set amongst new zealand native  bush and regenerating native kauri.

Thank you to John hickey and others who have worked  tirelessly to regain acess to this iconic track.

If we have time to explore we may, to find the old steam engine left behind by the miners and the old dam, and also some disused mine shafts.

Please note all attending are aware of the Kauri die back guidlines.

These can be found here . .www.kauridieback.co.nz   https://www.kauridieback.co.nz/how-to-guides/

In order to have continued use we must comply.   So please read and be fully compliant.

I believe thompsons will have some big ruts in places, and maybe more challenging.  There will be options should it get too hard.

You are welcome to join in for one day or both,

All camp inquiries can be made with the campsite directly , but bring togs for a swim in the mineral pool in camp, and one in town.

You are welcome to head down earlier if you wish.

There are many things to do in Te aroha , besides 4 wheeling.

The town is rich in history, there is a  local nature walks close to town , private spas and treatments for the more refined among us,  ( the local tavern for those that want to join me for a beers at some stage, countdown for supplies etc

If you do come earlier, try and get us a camp site area that can accommodate a few of us altogether .

any questions let me know.
