Club kids wisely stand up hill from Hamish's recently diesel repowered 90 - the hand brake cable snapped the previous day.

Simon Aimer enjoys refreshments (not controversial!). Here they are courtesy of Joy and Chris who came down from Whangarei for the weekend in their trusty Hilux.

Chris runs slightly narrower tyres on the front than the rear and seems to get excellent performance from his vehicle, almost keeping up with Hamish and Simon"s Defenders, and leaving many Nissans, Cruisers and Jeeps in the bog.

:"In the midst of a steep and tortuous track one wonders "Why is this track even here - what can lie up and beyond?", and several bogs later the enquiring mind demands "Is there an end to this, and what will it reveal?"....well in this case Hamish (Blue 90) and Simon (White 110) found the answer in the form of a HV transmission tower...or was this really the end of the track...?"
