South Island - Easter Bunny Long Long Weekend

For those of you that have shown interest in travelling south with me over the Easter break this is the basic intinerary...

Wed 31st March.  Depart Auck and drive to Wgtn. Stay overnight in Wgtn.
 
Thurs 1st Apr.  Catch first sailing from Wgtn to Picton.  Drive to Nelson via the Maungatapu track. Overnight in Nelson.

Friday 2nd.  Drive from Nelson to St Arnaud and then on to Murchison via the Porika and Braeburn tracks.  From Murchison to Reefton via the Maruia Saddle track.  This will probably be the longest day on the road.

Sat 3rd and Mon 4th based in Reefton.  From there we will do Napoleons Hill (The track I consider to be one of the best in NZ) and Big River on the Saturday.  Sunday we will do the Denniston circuit and Denniston to Iron Bridge tracks.

Mon 5th.  Reefton to Blehiem for some R&R.  Check out the Peter Jackson museum, sample some of the food and wine.

Tues 6th.  Catch morning ferry to Wgtn and drive up to National Park.  Overnight at "The Park".

Wed 7th.  Home to Auckland via the "42 Traverse".

Once I have expressions of interest I will enquire about a group booking on the Ferry and we will have to look at accommodation bearing in mind it is the Easter weekend but I don't think Reefton is a major holiday destination.

Quote reference FA5421 - give name, people, vehicles etc etc.

You then get a return email with details.

Payment not due until 1st March.
8.25am on 1st return 10.05am 6th April
