We met our host Colin RR (Classic) his son Daniel (Series 1) and Alan (Disco 1) from the Rotorua Land Rover Enthusiast Club on Saturday morning. We had 8 trucks from the club.
Commander Keith with his very own driver, Lieutenant Penman... Eight vehicles at the Start while two America's Cup addicts made it to Motion Road, a trifle later -but just in time to have people ahead, ready to right a non-upright situation (someone has earned a special sticker!)
Scene 1: Te Rau Puriri Park, South Head, Saturday 4 May 2013 at 1pm
Much of Auckland is awash after torrential rain. Up at South Head, several brave LRs are skittering around on slippery, muddy slopes while a camp of tents is just about to leave this Earth if they don't get pegged down properly...
19 trucks on the run!
3 groups headed out for fun, frolics in amongst the trees
What a wonderful way to while away a Thursday afternoon; friendly people in Land Rovers and in a great location... The weather was positively balmy. A stroll down the wharf revealed packed restaurants apart from one, Live Fish, with all its outside tables empty - Quick as a flash, the LR Mob (18 people!) took them over.
