Thompsons is one of NZ's most talked about tracks. Legendary trips have been made there by clubs from all over the country including several by LROCA.
In recent years however, the track has had its access issues. Essentially one end of the track is controlled by a Council friendly to 4wd access, the other by a Regional Council applying the NIMBY principle. This working bee will be on the friendly half as a reminder to the neigh sayers that we are a useful and trustworthy bunch to have around. It would be excellent to have some LROCA members attend to fly that flag. But it's a long way and a lot of fuel, so we may have to hatch a cunning plan to help with costs...
