The Jonker's trial returns! Once a fixture of the club calendar, this event hasn't run for several years, but is now slated for a comeback. Devised by former club secretary Mr. Abbott around an obscure and unpublished set of rules and an arcane points-scoring system, the trial aims to test the ability of the driver rather than the vehicle, and all manner of Land Rovers from mild to wild have scored well over the years. Shinys are welcome, but as the tests frequently involve tight manoeuvres  in and around trees, scratches and dinks are a risk. Similarly, chunky tyres are not a prerequisite...but generally, more grip is better than less. The use of difflocks is discouraged, but if a sufficient number of newer vehicles with traction control turn up, then we will run separate classes for the haves and have-nots.

As before, meet at Waitakere Train Station - NOT Swanson! - car park in time for a 09:30 departure. Bring food and drink. $50 cash per vehicle.
